so i was on a short vacation to the outer banks and was able to drive down to the haterras area and only saw a couple people out kiting. i thought there would be fleets of them as the wind was blowing steady. where do people kite in this area? we drove from Kitty Hawk all the way down to the Haterra...

had a fantastic session on turtle today. more than enough wind on a 12m turbo diesel from 0845 to 11am. first session of the year so i was grinning hard all morning. it was fun to see some familiar faces out there as well. Had a great day out at malmo yesterday. Got to Bellaire with Ryan and Travis around 4pm, pretty low wind, spotty at best, but did get some riding in so not to bad all in all. definitely not as good as forecasted though. hope others had better luck elsewhere.

Going to try mahto today again at 11 or 12. Yesterday was plenty strong to get speed and air even on the mogul fields, hoping today will be rideable too!

Pretty good on mahto today. i was out from 1 til 4pm, gusty for most of the area, but there was a nice steady sweet spot on the north section. lots of litte snow drifts and ridges to dodge/jump (along with the frozen beer cans). They have outfitted kayaks with those foils as well, can reach speeds of 14 or 15 mph man powered.
