Nice Crowd!

We had a nice showing at WBL today. I'd guess we had at least a dozen riders all told. The wind was building steadily, had to drop a size from an 11.3 down to my 9.5. Got some air :D ..blew the landing  . Beautiful day to get tuned up for the CROSSING!! Jim N. P.S:PRAY for SNOW(&wind)!

Wow! What a turnout at the BEAR !! Tom G finally dusted off his snowboard and got some solid riding in. Way to get back in the saddle Tom. I was kookin' around with the Sabre which, I have to admit, is slowly growing on me, and which rides MUCH better in 17-22mph than 12. I guess that's true of most wind vehicles. Kurt, I hope your arm/Leg/hip/neck/back is okay. Kurt took some hard spills today pushing the envelope, let's all send positive vibes his way... There were a butt load of kiters out there--from Mike W's kid learning on a small foil, to a whole mess of people I didn't know on a variety of kites. I liked the yellow and black Frenzy by the way. The best thing was MIke W boosting with a 7m Naish. Ha! And then, 2 minutes later, the same kite could barely pull some other guy to the icehouses. I guess it's all in the wrist or something like that. I hope everybody enjoyed themselves.. I sure did.

By the way-- to the guy in the orange and blue TD-- sorry if I did cross your lines, I did not figure on them being there, and if you find them damaged please let me know.

Also, Jradtke--did you sell your Sabre? I saw a different guy on a blue 9.5 like yours.

9.5 SABRE

Post by JRN »

That wasn't Radtke on the Sabre, Ice, that was ME!! I bought it from him
before he moved to No. Carolina. Ya, they definitely are ALOT livelier in higher winds. Had more POP than I expected, didn't even send it hard, & then..WOW..I'm flyin'! I counted 4 FLEXI's out today...2 Sabres & 2 Blades. Did we outnumber the Ozones? Jim N.

Dave thanks for the positive vibes and thanks for standing out there for some time and taking pictures.

I'm hurting bad tonight. I'm certain I suffered a shoulder sublixation (dislocation out of the shoulder joint but then back in) on one of my spills. Like you said, I was trying to push the envelope for the camera. I heard a pop then pain. I was tired and I should have stopped. Dang!, Inopportune time with the crossing in one week. Totally bummed. Maybe I'll heal in time. We'll see. I'll try to get some pics that Dave took up soon.
