Re: Michigan's Upper Peninsula

Ya Lee, lighthouse pics are Manistique...great spot with flatwater and waves...South winds off of Lake Michigan are sooooo smooth. Cory, season was killer! Did a lot of exploring...barely scratched the surface. You were right about the Keeweenaw...Great Sand, Eagle River, Eagle Harbor, Cat Harbor, e...

Re: A little stoke from the UP...

How was the launch there at breakers. Good, if you have someone to help launch theres plenty of room. Self launch may be tricky depending on how the wind lines up... But, there is beach on the inside and outside on both sides of the channel...the state park beach (north side) is the biggest. Have y...

Re: Grand Marais - Superior

I havent rode there yet...just checked it out on a no wind day. Hoping to get there by the end of the season. Im sure a West would be rideable, just not as clean as wind coming straight off the lake, especially on the inside. Sick spot, definetely worth the drive...waves on the outside and buttery g...

Re: Grand Marais - Superior

Im guessing you mean Grand Marais, MI...(not Grand Marais, MN). A NW wind would work...straight W might get a little sketchy b/c the shoreline to the West is all high bluffs...

NW at Grand Marais, MN probably wouldnt work...  :D

Jibe??

Anybody got any tips on jibing a strapless directional?

What foot do I move first (back to front or front to back)?

How far into the transition do you start the jibe?

Keep the kite powered or depower when jibing?

Thanks, in advance, for any help!!!

Re: FREE VID? / Trick Tips

WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT WAS @ REDDY CREEK? NO RAILS OR SLIDERS INVOLVED. LUCKILY THE KITE JUST FLEW ACROSS THE ROAD & LANDED IN A TREE..NO HARM NO FOUL... The leash was attached....Cabrinha's leash attachment is below the safety release, on the chicken loop....so, if the safety release activates/m...
