Snow Kiting at Skyline

Steve, Joe and I had an incredible trip to Skyline 3/21 - 3/23. After a great day of snowboarding in 10+ inches of new powder at Snowbird on Thursday, we met up with Jeff Kafka of Wind Over Water Kiteboarding (wowkite.com) at Skyline On Friday. Jeff provided the kites (Cabrinha and Ozone), harnesses, boards (if needed) and snowmobile support, as well as expert advice. He also arranged lodging at the Wind Walker Ranch which included great accommodations and three meals a day provided by the funky mother/daughter owners. The weather was perfect, with warm, clear days and building winds from morning to sunset. It could not have been better.

If you are ever considering a trip to Skyline, I would highly recommend hooking up with Jeff. Jeff bases out of San Fran in the summer as well.
