Is this right on Hwy 2 before manistique? If I've not mistaken, I might have driven past that lighthouse on my way to kite in Lake Huron (Tawas City). Awesome!

Nick, Looks like a nice season in the UP, eh? Recognize a lot of those spots in the Keweenaw but not sure about some. Anywhere to snowkite in your area?

Ya Lee, lighthouse pics are Manistique...great spot with flatwater and waves...South winds off of Lake Michigan are sooooo smooth.

Cory, season was killer! Did a lot of exploring...barely scratched the surface. You were right about the Keeweenaw...Great Sand, Eagle River, Eagle Harbor, Cat Harbor, etc...ALL amazing!! Havent found much for snowkiting...too many trees, mostly been shredding the lake effect pow on the snowboard.

Yeah, I'm a bit jealous you live so close. I had a great time living there especially with all the lake effects. Wife and I are taking a trip up this winter to porkies and whitecap.

I ran across this video a while back of a desperate chap snowkiting early season near baraga. They get plenty of lake effects in baraga too. Might be an option if you want to get the kite up. This guy might be a good guy to connect with somehow as he appears to kite the UP in summer too.
