Q-powerlines in winter
Has anyone had any problems with Q-powerlines in the winter (e.g. stiffness, stretching/contracting)? I refitted my Slingshot T2 bar with Q-Powerlines in the summer and had excellent results. I took this bar out for the first time on the snow last week with a 9m T2, and felt like I had control probl...

Spleene RIP?
I have a Spleene Door 154 for light wind and I'm now looking to upgrade my smaller board.
I was looking at the Spleene RIP series (128/9 or 134). Does anyone have any recommendations or comments on the smaller Spleene boards? I weigh in at 160lbs and using T2's (9/11/14).
Thanks,
Bill

Ice screws...
Thanks for the info...
I'm using Slingshot T2's (9-11-14).
....is there a clip in the ice screw to attach to the chicken loop (or bar adjustment line on the T2s)?

Ice Screw 101?
I've been launching on the snow with a sandbag.
How are most people using ice screws?
Do I need 2 (i.e. one for launching?, one in my jacket?)?
Thanks...

Any advice on which snowboard to choose for snowkiting?? I've used skis for snowkitng last year and want to try out snowboards this season. Snowkiting ...Snowboard Advice
I am looking for a snowboard setup for snowkiting this year (I was on skis last year) and had a few questions :D Is it worth getting the snowkite specific boards from Cabrinha, Nobile, Best etc? ... or is it better to get a freeride snowboard? Can you use the snowkite specific boards for normal down...

Spleene Door size recommendation??

At 160lbs... what would be the best size for me to buy for light/variable wind conditions around here (164, 154)?
What would be the trade-offs?
Thanks

13m Bully
Yes... I still have my 13m Bularoo :D Fom a new riders perspective... the SS 14m T2 relaunches very easily under a number of conditions that can be challenging for a beginner (e.g. light wind, deep water, LE down, ...). It seems like the T2 just wants to roll over and relaunch. The bar, depower, and...

Are there any good lakes on the east side for newbie kiters?
Does anyone know if there are are good lakes for newbie kiters on the east side (e.g. 30-45 min from Woodbury). Its hard to sneak out from work and drive 1-2 hours to Waconia, Washington, Mille Lacs,...
Small, quiet, shallow... and few spectators would be great.
Thanks
Bill

ALMOST PERFECT
The kite, lines, and bar were in almost perfect condition! It washed up on the North shore which was all sand. The kite was fully inflated when the owner found it.... he deflated it some to get it into the boathouse It took about an hour to untangle the lines. The kite still feels and looks new. The...

I FOUND MY KITE!!
 It ends up that the kite drifted overnight almost right back to my launch site (within a mile of Reddy Beach). A homeowner found it the next day tangled around his dock and kept it in his boathouse for the last 3 weeks. They spotted the lost and found add in the Mille Lac Messenger and I p...

HELP... I lost my new Turbo2 in Mille Lacs today
:( I was out on my new Turbo2 9m kite at Reddy and I got my lines crossed on a drift launch. The kite launched and I had to release. The winds were mostly from the west and I expected to head downwind towards Malmo to pick up.. but the current quickly took it offshore almost straight out south towar...

Thanks for the help! :!: I'm getting some bar line measurements from the shop (Emerald Coast) They say they're teaching their classes with Waroos/Bularoos and haven't seen this problem. But the general concensus from the internet appears that this might be a harder kite to relaunch in light winds. T...

I was out with Tighe on Friday at Waconia for a 1:1 water lesson (very, very helpful... highly recommended! ...especially the jet ski and radio support... thx Tighe ... sorry for all the crashes with your kite  ).
