Q-powerlines in winter

Post by BillB »

Has anyone had any problems with Q-powerlines in the winter (e.g. stiffness, stretching/contracting)?
I refitted my Slingshot T2 bar with Q-Powerlines in the summer and had excellent results.
I took this bar out for the first time on the snow last week with a 9m T2, and felt like I had control problems (I felt overpowered..it was gusty). I do not have the winter leader lines... but I did not have any problems last year with the stock white slingshot lines (except that you cannot see them).

Thanks

q power lines will be fine in winter. you don't need any thing special for winter.
you should however check for stretching by comparing linelengths... just hook all the lines to a single ancor point and hook into your harness every thing should be even...
unless the front lines stretched significantly you shouldn't have depower problems related to the lines.

I think the "winter lines" are the thick ones that thread thru the pulleys on the slingy turbo bars, not the flying lines. I periodically swap my front & rear lines to even out the stretch, but it hasn't been an issue with my Q-lines.
