Re: Flying Delta with Gear...

Never had any issues with just sending stripped down boards wrapped in cardboard and carpet down there. Just typical luggage.....

I really think weight is a bigger issue, keep it light!

Re: Flying to Costa Rica This Weekend..

I do things a bit different.....I strip the boards down and wrap them in carpet, card board and duct tape. Delta and others only consider it another bag, no extra fees ever. Then I pack another bag with kites, gear and clothes. I have a Delta card, so first bag is free. Only $25 each way then. Since...

Spartacus workout....15 minutes and you will get a good burn all over.

Google it on Men's Health, download the app on your iPhone, get on it!

Or just buy some skates and play hockey! :)

launches?

Anyone have any updates on good launches around town for south wind? With all of this rain and the holiday weekend not sure if Ramsey or the Wac would be good options. Do we still have any beach left?

Any updates out there?

Pump Hoses?

Does anyone know where I can get a new pump hose as mine has a crack. Does anyone else have issues with hoses cracking from bending in the same spot? Any tips to prevent this beside the obvious (taking the hose off)?

Thanks,
Leah

Hey in Madison for training this week and it looks like wind tomorrow.

Anyone have any hook ups in Madison to "borrow" or rent gear? No space in my car....guess I need to get a bigger vehicle!

And one gal......I thought that might be you Scott. Didn't know you moved over to the Helix's.

It was a blast there, I have fun jumping the car tracks...plenty of loft. I was even over powered on my 9m T3 at times.

So much fun!

Just hit up lake Calhoun from 1 am to 3:30 am. Was awesome, a liitle surprised I was the only one there. Probably best suface conditions for a long time, 4-6 inches of powder! Sorry to all those that hit it in the am, I make some good tracks!

Yippee!

Good times! I had a blast even though the wind was like a roller coaster. Thanks Mike for letting me borrow your 13M Key, it is amazing how fast the memory goes at your age. Also thanks to all those that entertained my friend Kim that I dragged along to the event so I could get my fix. She ha...

Kiting in Houston, Tx

Just got back from kiting around the Houston area. Not bad at all....headed to Texas City at the levee the first couple of days. Nice grassy rigging area and shallows out a mile or two. Choppy like MN, good group of folks there and great learning area. Headed to Galveston Island State Park the next ...

Re: Patty is looking for pointers! (by Jim)

This is what I figured out.....through hours and hours of stop and go! I was a wuss and was too scared to dive the kite into the power zone enough to really get up and going.... I would try and cut up wind too early and therefore stalled the kite into the side of the window. So two things to remembe...

Lakes good to go?

Just wondering what lakes are good to go for Christmas? I am heading NW to the Monticello region tomorrow, is Lake Pulaski or Buffalo Lake frozen over? Rob, have you been out yet? How about the metro area....

Eager to get out and hope to see some smiling faces for Christmas!

I am heading to the great open ND this weekend for a wedding....Jamestown/Devils Lake area. Does anyone know where you can kite in this area in the summer time. Looks great for winter, but not sure if there is any launches for summer kiting!
