launches?

Post by shera »

Anyone have any updates on good launches around town for south wind? With all of this rain and the holiday weekend not sure if Ramsey or the Wac would be good options. Do we still have any beach left?

Any updates out there?

Check the listing of launches and lakes on the "Lakes" tab above. As far as metro lakes go, to the best of my knowledge Ramsey and Waconia are it for south winds. Ramsey is better for SE; there is another little park that you can launch from (and is the preferred launch when there are swimmers at Ramsey) just east of Ramsey that is better for S wind. I can't remember the name of this park but it's between Portland and Park Aves. on Lake Ave.

Waconia isn't much good if there is east in the wind.

Canon Lake in Faribault and Lake Washington are good for S winds as well. Reddy Creek, Malmo and Garrison are options for Mille.

Enjoy! Bill
