I found a zone of relatively smooth ice! Along the eastern shore of Big Island and all around Gales Island on Minnetonka - Get it while you can!

Re: Who was out on Wac in the storm on Friday 11/18?

I was windsurfing on Lake Minnetonka - it was pretty windy and extreme! I have a pair of the Dakine mitts that I have "customized." Cut a very thin slot in the mitts - 1/4" wide - located between your two knuckles on your hands when hanging onto the boom. This lessens the arm fatigue ...

I like your stories Quetz! Waconia went off big on Sunday. Tons of kiters and widsurfers out. Plus a fishing tourney out of the DNR lot. Busy place!

I'm sure there is a way to combine the two events.

Double points Mike?!

I need a way to catch up to Stroh - then take him down in the series!

Looking good Matt! So great you are kiting on the edge. Great to hear your updates of where the good terrain kiting spots are near Minnesota!

Kite on!

Yes, another fine cold water session at the WAC! Having a Hillbilly hot tub (a cooler filled with hot water) really helps out with the feet! I hope we get some more!

Hey Bill, yes - that was a great Opener! It is amazing to see many of the same faces decade after decade! It makes you wonder why there aren't many young folks in the sport as it is so fun. To me, kiting in the winter and windsurfing on the water is the best! See you next time!

I was out there today - A low friction surface but good for setting an edge. if we get a steady 6 mph plus - it will be good.
