The sea was angry again my friends on Lake Pepin:
Sunday, June 5th... NW wind picked up to around 20 mph.gusts around 30.this caught several
of us already on 7.0 and 7.5 meter sails. I did a downwinder from Deer Island, WI
to Pepin marina Beach (in Pepin, Wi) to meet up with fellow windsurfers and kiteboarders.
After being overpowered, instead of changing sails I just downhauled and outhauled to the max. my 7.5 Ezzy and
this did the trick! It was like sailing on butter! Going up and down waves and terrain. Chris L. out on a JP board
and big 7.meter something, Pete G. was popping out of the water every so often and flying like a porpoise and I didn't see Greg. I saw his car and trailer but no visual on him.
Two kiteboarders on orange and black kites just Screaming across this 2.5 mile wide segment of the Missisip.
It took me five minutes to go downstream two miles and with this strong steady wind I got back upstream to where I launched in just half an hour!
