Spaced out bar and lines.

Ok. this is getting a little embarrasing. But ya, I left my bar and lines behind again. This time at Kite island. So if you run across a naish bar with airush loop let me know. Or if you have a bar and lines for sale I'll settle for that. See you all at the crossing.

Build um and they will come. Great turnout for a fun weekend of kiting. Thanks Nathan, Matt, Hunter, Denis and plow truck guy and anyone else who helped put the Kitefreeze Unplugged unofficial event together. I didn't dare try the rails and stuff, but managed to line up on the jumps a few times. It'...

Mille Lacs report

Jon Stroh just called me from Mille lacs and asked that I post access info for anyone interested in going up this weekend. He says conditions are great. They're kiting on the south end. Turn toward Izatys, maybe #27? Go about a mile to 100 street/rd/ave? (cove bay) Go north and you'll find a plowed ...

Anybody know if there's any snow left up at Milly after todays thaw. I'd go up to find snow, I'm sure it's gonna be pretty hard to hold an edge on a snowboard now,
Jon, If you can get near Delano you could ride up with me.

Calhoun or tonka conditions?

Have to work tomorrow but could maybe sneak in a late session. Should I plan on getting soaked (I spend too much time on my rear). The lakes out near me in Delano are heavy snow covering a layer of slush. How about city lakes?

Jon, Thanks for the ice report. Is the ice smooth enough for iceskates or freeskates, or is there snow on it? I'll probably head out to Washington today, I think there's a nice layer of snow, but if it gets too windy for my kites, a small sail and freeskate on Wac would be sweet. Maybe I'll see you ...

Hi Alex, It's great to hear from you. We got up to North Long a few weeks ago for some perfect black ice, don't know why that lake freezes so early but it's a great season opener. Jerry and I got out for a surprise low wind session yesterday on Washington...perfect untracked powder, so it won't be l...

Jerry, Have you scouted the ice, or do I have to tie a rope around my waist again? Do you think there's enough snow to edge without a switchblade, or is it time to switch to the tall blades? thanks for the report, now we just need a little wind.

Mike, I can't believe you were kiting in that wind, we didn't see any kiters at Waconia. What size kite did you use? Is the self launch process you're describing the same as normal, but rather than just letting the kite drift you real it out on the fifth line? I wasn't sure from your description whe...
