Jon Stroh just called me from Mille lacs and asked that I post access info for anyone interested in going up this weekend. He says conditions are great. They're kiting on the south end.
Turn toward Izatys, maybe #27? Go about a mile to 100 street/rd/ave? (cove bay) Go north and you'll find a plowed road onto the lake. There's no charge but there's a box for donations.
I might go up tomorrow, or try to find some good snow around town.
