Re: Best Girl Calendar Model Search

so who are you? There's a post about Best and all of a sudden there's a guy chiming in that none of us know, been on the pay roll for long? One of the things you should know about this community board, we pretty much all know each other, one or two exeptions but they've done more than 2 posts. Also ...

Re: Best Girl Calendar Model Search

About time our official " dirty old man " chimed in. :P

I guess I'll change sides on the debate and stand with you Jim, it is a much more fun place to be. Especially since Nancy's just told me she wants to be a Best girl...

Re: Best Girl Calendar Model Search

When Best starts to run teaching clinics for women regardless of their willingness to remove their clothes for a camera, your argument will have some credibility and deserve some respect. We are very lucky in this community that we have always had a base of female windsurfers and kiters, sure not as...

Re: Best Girl Calendar Model Search

Ah but you see Lia this is a forum for Kiteboarding and Windsurfing, so if you publish soft porn on our site you cannot seriously expect us to give the same respect to your topic we would to a normal posting. I'm as open minded as anyone, but I have always wondered about the direction of the marketi...

Re: Rumor; Slingshot fired there whole design team??

Dave , you've not been paying attention. In 2010 compared to the previous year kites came down in price. Early 2009 you may recall my posted warning to everyone " sticker shock" explaining 2009 kite were going to be expensive because of the huge increase in Teijins pricing. 2010 the prices...

Has anyone noticed or is it just me?

Used to be in winter we'd get lot's of northerlies, late spring it'd switch to South or Southwest.
Last year and this we're getting lots of East and westerly winds.
Very annoying when the launch out of my yard is good for South and South west. I haven't ridden at home yet this year.

Re: Zephyr

Shows how good at kite testing Rob is and writing a review, the Zephyr has a slightly different jumping technique. All Ozones do. They like back line tension for faster turning so the best jump technique is to pull the bar in all the way before you send it. They also prefer a slightly lower start po...

Re: Zephyr

Peter, I have one you're welcome to demo some time when you see me on the water.
Some locals have ridden it and I hope they'll chime in.
Best thing I can say is it works as described.

Re: Gear that works, risk

Rookie....yuk yuk  I know Michele had a nasty, same situation wind getting up with some sort of front coming in. She was riding her C4 and put a post on facebook praising safeties. Everyone likes different things for their systems, for me I want nothing mechanical or heavy , nothing subject to ...

Sorry Michael I don't have a 15m edge demo. May have a 15m Sport for sale soon.
My new MN bread and butter kites the new Zephyr 17m it's pretty awesome, I think it'll be a great Mn kite, though in truth I haven't ridden it in Mn yet. NIce glide in jumps and shoots upwind very well.

Re: Like a Door

I have a mako wide 150 , I know Dean, Mike and a few others have the board too. I really like it but it's not a light wind board. I get mine going around 13 or 14mph. You have to ride them a little differently with more weight on your front foot , really goofs up your jumping till you get used to it...

Re: Kite feedback

The sad thing is Jim, you're right.
The stupid bloody name has caused all kinds of issues through customs, causing kite delivery delays among other things. The rocket surgeon who named the things deserves some C4 up his aspirations.
