A few years ago, out by kite island, I saw one person do it. A few practice runs at it, then 3 successfull jumps over it. Very fun to watch. Nothing I would ever try myself.

That was me, doug jones. The kite is an '05 5 meter frenzy and on the inside trailing edge is the red and white north face logo, stiched in.
I was out for about two hours after work just going back and forth having fun and enjoying the sunset.

I have also lost my mother to cancer 5 1/2 years ago. She is in Lakewood by calhoun, so when I am windsurfing or snowkiting
she is close by and watching.

would it be a speed run through the countryside or a easy cruise and enjoy the sights. i would be in for it.

thanks for the info dean. last night i went with nokomis for a beautiful 2
hour sunset sesh. on my 17.5 machine. then the lights for the rink came
on and it was a little more light to see by.

did anyone try the lake over the weekend for ice thickness and snow cover?

i am going to grab a bite to eat then head to the wack then maybe swede .

i think i might try it, out west instead of milly. i have been itching to try my 17.5 machine. will try and leave about 9:15- 9:30.

spent a few hours out on swede this after noon, only kiter there but shared it with a few motorcycles. the surface maybe to bumpy for skates so i used my downhill skis with a 5 meter frenzy and speeds up to 34mph! sweeeeet swede! if anyone else got out hope you had fun.

cool idea, i like it and wonder how well it would work with my own homebrew setup when i keg my batches. i use old 5gal. soda kegs.

just like calhoun is, no fly zone.
