You can get neoprene 'socks' at midwest mounteering. they are in the kayaking section, might give you some more options for cold water. i used them in HR saturday under boots, water was like 40 and i was in it for 4 hours or so. 6.0 was too much for me near shore, dale cook was on a 7.8 with a bigge...

That is very light wind, I agree. heck, I can barely get my 3.6 foil to fly in 7mph wind! I honestly don't know much about kiting, but from what I do know that kind of performance seems outstanding, even if it was a bit exaggerated! :D

i guess the brule would be west of bayfield, but would probably work well on a west wind and may be closer for you coming from milly. there were some posts about port wing a while back too...

mouth of the brule river seems like it would be perfect. its all sand from what i remember, but i've never actually sailed it. there is a park right near the mouth. 4 hour drive from the cities... :(

there is a shop in berkely on university avenue(http://www.boardsports.com). they teach lessons and may rent too. from there you can drive down university to berkely marina and sail. there is an automated phone service where you can get real-time wind at the marina. i think this is one of the friend...

yep, tomorrow should be fun on the Bear! hoping for somewhat smoothe wind, but planning for THRASHING wind! haven't been able to test out the newly acquired, used 4.0. hoping it fits on a 460 mast if the wind starts crankin! :)
