Okay where was all the kiters yesterday? I was out from 4-sunset yesterday on my 9 I was popping in the gusts and pumping the kite in the lulls. I could have been on my 12, but the gusts were big at times.
The sun was out and the colors gorgeous. Oh and 55 degrees. A heat wave compared today...
I was the only kiter out, so someone else needs to get out today. I paid my dues.
Brian S. was out solo from 1:30-3:30 on a 5.2 windsurfing.
There was about 4-6 windsurfers out, Tim, Geoff, Jeff, others and Rob E.
Rob and I were sailing up wind and passing each other.
Yesterday felt warm compared to today. If the wind speed and the temp. ad up to 80 I will go out today;0)
If I had a dry suite I would think about it but I am going to stick to the buggy and maby get a landboard untill the lakes freeze with the exception of milly I am willing to freeze my ars off for the buttery smoth winds!!!
I couldn't justify the drive to Waco and there was too much SW in it to make WBL tempting. I think I will have to go today though. I may dust off the windsurfing gear. On the other hand, I have a new X4 8m I am anxious to fly.
i was at wacky from 10 until 2 today (played hookie). there was nobody around when i got there, so i launched at the beach. saw a couple of sailors show up around noon at the boat-launch park. i was overpowered in the gusts on a 5.0 but had a blast ripping up and down the beach in the waves. i still spend a good amount of time in the water, but had a full 5/4 with gloves, booties and hat so was plenty warm.
