I've been out 3 of the past 4 days on a 'custom built' ski sail board. It rides like a short board in the conditions we have in the Brainerd area.
Way faster, never falls off plane, sucks for jumping or open water. Anyone else still riding these contraptions?

Great to see the input from kiters planning to be there for the Crossing Fleet 8 staff checked out the lake yesterday and it is 100% snow covered. Ice now
Ice in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Most smaller lakes and the 371 bay of North Long are iced over. North Long has 2-3" of mirror black ice and people have been ice skating. Forcast is for temps in the teens Sat. night so should be O.K. for kite skating Sunday.

N. Long 371 access sounds good to me. It is easy to find just North Of Iven's resturant on 371. Also Gull lake and Round lake accesses are only a few min. away if the wind favors a different site, where on Mille Lacs a person could spend hours checking out differtent sides of the lake.
