I live in Fargo and kite mostly on Ottertail. Lida looks interesting and its a bit closer. If you do go to Lida, mind posting about it?

What set of lines did you get? There are some discrepancies on slingshot's website as to which set of lines work on a full stroke bar. The folks at Windance in the gorge even sent the wrong ones out to me the first time. They made everything right eventually but I was down a bar for a little bit.

That is great! There is only one other snowkiter in Alexandria and he called to see if it was me out there on Saturday. I told him it wasn't and we got excited about the possibility of the Alexandria crew doubling in size. Anyways, glad you got some kiting in and ace plan with the women folk

Sailkote works better than anything else i've tried.

I have had that Speed 3 21M Deluxe in my shopping cart on two separate occasions, but have yet to go through with it.

The Ozone Access XC is pretty decent.

We winter camped at last year's crossing and had a ton of fun with it.

In Alexandria on a southerly we kite at Sandy Beach on lake Miltona, it is perfect. Miles of fetch and a shallow launch. lat 46.056 lon -95.373 Though with Ottertail being only 50 miles away and a good wind forecasted it really can't be beat. That whole side of the lake is shallow for hundreds of ya...

I use the Mystic Force D3o vest and it is pretty decent. It also fits great under a waist harness.

Anyone ever ride Grand Marais, MN?

I am up on Ottertail and the winds are 11mph average gusting to 15 and it looks like it is building.

Rotary beach on West end of Lake Le Homme Dieu is ok on a easterly.

For anyone interested, surface water temperature on lake Miltona near Alexandria is 56. I had a 7mm wetsuit on and didn't get cold at all. Not a great session though ended up walking back to the launch.
