Let me say, from first hand experience, the snow on the lake IS FLUFF. The lake has been seemingly Zambonied and is so righteously skatable it isn't funny. Well, actually, it is funny. I was laughing up and down this afternoon when the southeasterlies finally blew enough to give me some rides. I don...

i picked up a pair of Coyotes at a 'play it again'. seems folks purchased them for off-road skating when they first came out, but their 7lb weight really doesnt make them very 'skatable'. however, they do roll with ease over the land/street crud on a downhill or under the power of a dog. i gave them...

Cedar lake WI has 30 - 36" with a soft snowless mush crust on top. too bad it's a light north east today. despite the heat, ice out is a ways off this one.

Hunter, for what it is worth, i am 60lbs heavier than you are and really enjoyed my time on the ice with a B-3 all of last year. and while i am not a water kiter, i did manage to use the 3 during the off-snow season honing my skills and just turning people onto the smile of kiting. i truly believe t...

my experience with skiboards has been limited to using a B-3 or B-5 on either unskatable mixed ice or hard pack. i started kiting last year with my ice skates and became disgruntled when we began getting snow and i could no longer use the skates. i am more of a skater than a skiier. after searching ...
