I am planning to head to lake vermillion for few days this weekend. I am guessing there should be around 12inches of fresh powder with an edgeable base. it would be cool to see some kiters up there.
still deciding when to go... probably friday or saturday

Jon..glad to see you're cute little butt has survived the winter in the frozen north.
Looking forward to seeing you again when things warm up a little up there.....some time in August.

Re: Heading north for eipc conditions
Some of my snowmobiling buds were up on Crane and Kabetogama lake this past weekend and mentioned that there was well over a foot of new snow there. Not much wind this weekend though

Jim.
I got to ride in corpus and padre, the corpus scenes very flat since they outlawed kites at bird island.
It was super, amazingly warm and great winds.

I ended up staying local... the forecast was 5-10 for each day, but it ended up being 10-20 each day.
