swap
i just called the-house and they said the swap was may 5th weekend. the question i have is how many people go?? wondering if it is worth my uncle to come from greenbay to buy new equipment. I want to see if i can get him back into the sport of windsurfing. Is there a lot of newer equipment or old? When do most people get to the house so all the gear isnt picked over. It isnt on friday is it? Im pumped to buy some more gear so looking forward to it
The swap is on Saturday. I believe it officially starts at 9AM...BUT...many transactions happen before that hour, so your best bet is to get there earlier than that. Many people frequent the event and you will find both new and anchient equipment. You and your uncle will have a great opportunity to find decent equipment at reasonable prices. The House will be open too if you have a hard time finding odds and ends. Also, check the "classifieds" on this website for other deals.
I agree with Pete, get there early! Most of the best deals are done well before 9am, by the time 9 rolls around things seem to start slowing down.
I also agree the House itself is an awesome bargainfest on the day of the swap. Once you've dealt your hand outside head inside the store for more good stuff. The inside deals can be very competitive with the outside ones!

Last night I was at The Professor's Swap Meet (see Rob's post in the classifieds) and I got some great deals on gear that brought me into the 21st century. He still has some really nice gear for sale (minus the F2 Thommen 295II board, 6.7m, 9.0m and 550cm mast, carbon boom
). No more schlogging for me! Thanks Professor!!!
