I am thinking of launching out of robinson's bay. There is a public beach down robinson's bay road. I am also planning on the back pack with beer.

I plan on doing some this summer....I know nathan has done it and is stoked to play with it some more this summer. Sounds like they are making kites specific for this now. Check out F-One kites.

I saw some vehicles going off and on there today....Looked like it was wet though but doable. Some good riding out there today.. Pretty much white out conditions all day. Nice amount of snow with an icy crust only a few bare spots here and there. Was getting flufflier as the day went on too.

I would advise not to drive on to lake minnetonka. If at all possible find a spot to launch from where you don't have to drive on.
