Why? I don't get the reasoning. I don't want to look like I'm snowboarding while out on the water. Maybe they are thinking for those times when the ice is going out and your riding water with your snowboard on.

I'm glad you said that Eric, it was my first thought but I didn't want to say so as I thought I was being old and square.
Imagine what that hood feels like when it's full of water.

I don't care what I look like on the water.

Uh, those of you that have seen me ride would probably agree

I want a drysuit that's comfortable and... well DRY!

The freedom of movement looks good, too.

I like the hook going through the jacket, but where/how do you get your safety leash in with that system?

Anybody know how much? I tried the dealer locator and it directed me to the U of MN Duluth...

That's what I thought at first but then realized it was my own preconceptions that drove that. Why does that look have to be the look of the snowboarder only? Looks to me like he left his jacket on (cause he wanted to be warm) and went out riding when it was cold. Personally I think it looks better than 95% of the drysuits out there. I'm just glad someone is thinking about the look of these things. They've been pretty butt ugly for too long (functional but ugly or functional butt ugly). The Ocean Rodeos aren't bad looking, even the Polar Bare isn't bad, but the others...eeeks! Maybe in time we'll have a "look" that defines cold weather riding.

I like the inside zipper pocket for an electronic key, Pee-Zip and the hood to keep you warm when it gets cold. I wonder how well the hood drains after you crash....

I think in the vid he says the hood drains , I think they look pretty sick. Id have to agree with Tighe its about time they made a dry suit with some style , Put on a closed toe boot and its strait snowboard style , perfect for cold water riding . seems like it would be pretty comfy also compared to some others.

I think that would have to classified as a "sea anchor" - looks like it would hold a lot of water!

Don't worry all - you don't have to look like a showboarder... It looks like you can still probubally wear your shorts on the outside of this suit. :D

I'm tempted to screw replacing the neck seal on my ocean rodeo and just get one of these, look pretty sick to me.

It looks O.K. by me, although the two questions that came up are good, 1 = what happens in a hard crash and the hood fills up, could be a major neck jerk or it would just rip off the jacket, unless your a pro and never fall, which I don't know of any pro's here in Minnesota yet. 2 = Where was the safety leash during the video, it really does not look like there was any place for one, but then again you could just push it through the same hole the hook goes through. All in all everyone is right, especially if it's the style thing you are going after, it does look pretty cool. I would like to see someone get one and see it in action. The pee zipper is a huge plus, and the way the shoulder zipper is hid under the material on the back is neat, someone was thinking. It's pretty hard to beat the Ocean Rodeo's though, I love mine and for the most part I stay dry but mostly I stay warm and thats what it's all about in my opinion.

Scottman? from wht im seeing and hearing theres a drain system in the hood and on a crash I dont think it would hurt the neck Also, Pros crash all the time infact they crash harder then most infact a month or so ago I watched Dre( Andre Phillipe) crash harder then ive ever seen anyone crash, and he is the one who is endorsing this product so id assume its legit>

I saw another blog that said ~$900 but this is at least third-hand information, so I'm not sure how good it is.

Bob Cook of Kiteridersllc.com is trying to bring them in. Says they won't be available until November and that retail will be competitive with OR's

LOOK KOOL & BE WARM!!! SHIZ BAM, IT DON'T GET NO BETTER... But really, when I saw Big Max put his hood over his helmet last winter, it was a revelation... I have been trying for decades (literally) to cram my wetsuit hoody under my helmet and have done permanent brain damage, at least that is my excuse this week. It also might help when you're getting your head pounded in the shore break, if you can slip that hood over the helmet. Any volunteers to cough up the cash & head for Park Point?
