Tahoe snowkiting locations???

This is short notice since I am leaving on Tuesday for a conference in Reno.

Does anyone know of any snow kiting locations near Tahoe or Reno? I am going to call Tahoe Mountain Sports in Truckee to see if they will give some insight. I wasn't planning on bringing my kite, but this might be a great chance to ride some terrain. I'm looking for foothills, not mountains.

red lakes ridge, near kirkwood ski area is amazing! grass valley also works if its crankin. have fun.

Have you checked out the storm hitting out there ? I would dump the kite and go for the epic conditions at the resorts. The little resort of Sierra at Tahoe has the best tree skiing/boarding right off a highspeed westbowl lift. Nice evenly spaced tree's with a powder stash from the storm - priceless on a snowboard!
