Heading to the island on Pelican

Post by Bryce »

I'm going to see if I can kite over by gooseberry island. If the wind is south and has any west in it.. kiting at breezy point would be gusty and crappy. But over at gooseberry we will have buttery smooth water and good wind on the downwind side of the sandbar.

Now lets see if the wind stays up!!

yeah the wind was pretty gusty... but it was nice to cruise around not being underpowered. I haven't had a good session like that in a few weeks. I ended up racing a hobie cat for a little bit (They were going upwind quite a bit better then me) and went around gooseberry island. The wind quit and I barely was able to get back to the resort.

Going to fargo this weekend still? I think I'll be heading there too. Probably Fri Night
