Looks like a classic Ramsey day. I hope the clouds keep the crowds away.

Don't feel like traveling north in Holiday traffic. Exp. looks iffy for Reddy. I decided to hang in the local redneck area of Washington. Boat traffic is always light there and wind is clocking to South per Noah and ikitesurf. Hope to ride with other boardheads there. :)

What a great Memorial Weekend! 2 windy days out of 3 and it happened when most of us had time off.

I'll be heading to Washington to see what the hype is all about on a SE - S wind.

Wow! I just checked the forecast and if you drive West out to Dassel (Lake Wahsington) nature gives you bonus points of 10 mph. 20-25 SSE for Lake Washington today! Woohooo! Get to ride the smaller stuff for a few runs at least. Everything around the metro is saying 15-20.

The Bear. Going to try Rutherford Park, a small, yet I believe public beach on the north end of WBL. It's near Hwy 96 and Portland Ave. There are other private access points around there to keep away from.

An alternative to launching over the crowded beach at Ramsey. Parking will be a bit more problematic, as we will have to leave cars on the other side of the highway, but I think it is a potential solution for south winds on WBL.

I'm thinking Waconia. Washington will probably be better bet though if you don't mind the drive.

Reddy was great, especially after the morning clouds and rain cleared and the wind kicked up. Unfortunately had to roll out around 3:30 as the winds were cranking up some more. First time up there...WOW what a great place to kite, shallow, sandy, and plenty of beach.
