I'm really anxious to get on the water but just have the most limited schedule I have ever had. (Ironic. I could sail more when I had a job. I guess that proves having a kid is more work than "work" is.)
My daughters Kindergarten schedule leaves me reasonable time to go to Byllesby, Cannon or Marion (Lakeville just off I35) but everything else is out of range. I could sail Cannon today for a hour and a half but what direction will work for the park or the fishing dock?
I just checked and the wind at Faribault airport is @80 degrees. Tighe posted that it would work NE but how much N is needed to mix with the E?
Will Cannon work for east wind?

You need a fair bit of North to get out of the South park. You can get out on the west side on an East wind though the fetch is small. ( check image in Lakes, you'll be in the SW corner of the lake)
You just follow the road past the normal launch, past the houses, till the lake is along the road again. Bill and I sailed here once. Rigged in the farmers field across the road. As usual respect property owners.
good luck.

Byllesby works for East wind
Byllesby works for an east or E-NE wind. There is a boat ramp on the far west end. Take 292 Street, head west, turn south on Highway 56, cross 2 bridges (I think), take the second left (Sciota Trail), it tees at 23rd Ave, turn left, follow that road look for a "no parking after 10 pm" sign on the left, thats the boat launch. To see a map key in Randolph, MN on yahoo maps.
