Ok, I'm a newbie...
but are there any other lakes a guy could ride other than Mille Lacs, Wac, and Da Bear?
we are in the land of 10,000 lakes, there has to be more! I realize that park space, acreage, and wind obstacles play a part, but why is everything an hour and half away! there has to be more, or do I just wait till winter to play?
What do you think?..
Other Lakes

Axo - I think we met this spring at Bellaire...from a newbie kiters perspective it's tough being in the cites during the summer! Too many boats, people, and docks.
Plenty of gems everywhere but driving is required for the conditions some of these bigger lakes present (cleaner wind, big waves and swell). Check out the lakes section it's very comprehensive....
Some lakes not mentioned that are close include: Forest, Lake George, St. Croix River, Medicine, etc... Calhoun is a self-imposed off limits to kiters lake in the summer.
Lake George and Forest have been mentioned as decent spots with a lot of shallow water when the wind direction is good - do a search for more info.
