i had an eventful evening. Took the sleds out with 3 buddies down the luce line out a few hwys to new germany. On the way back, on the luce line, riding on the horse paths, all the sudden the trail starts to turn mush, then to water, then to open water. 150yards long, 5-6ft deep, barb wire fence on one side, trees and brush on the other, no where to go but straight. I almost made it to the end, sled dropped in 5ft of water. I dive off the sled, water up to my chest. 3 of the 4 sleds, sank, 5ft water, on the trail, on the luce line. We didnt ride on the lake because it was scetchy, who knew u could sink a sled on the main trail... We were soaked, ran to the nearest barn, got warm, called a buddy who picked us up. Going to get the sleds this afternoon. Game farm road/luce line.

Tuesday afternoon report:

Just had a good session with some good snow and some powder. I think most of the good conditions will be found on the W, NW shores. The rest was ice/crust/crap, with all the snow blown off, not good. I found very little slush. South winds should give some good rides. Looks like we may have any other dump Wednesday night. The seasons not over yet!
