Get wet

Post by Chip »

Mother Superior is still completely ice free these days. Doesn't look like we are going to get any ice at all this season. If the mood hits you and the temps are in the 30's as they've been - consider a little wave sailing this winter.... :P

You've got my attention... I'll be watching the weather. Maybe I'll even patch the holes in my booties tonight!

:D Sailed on Superior for about an hour today. Celebrated by going out and getting some new booties. Against my better judgment, got ones with zippers... the could have been warmer.

Anywho - Sailing was GREAT! wind was about 25 went out with 5.6M sail, by the time I came in I was really over powered. Since then, the wind has picked up considerably.. I will go out again tomorrow if someone shows up to sail... forcast is for gale warnings and high of 35. You can very safely sail within 100 feet of shore and wash up on the beach of you get in trouble... PLEASE, PLEASE someone come up and sail. It should be wild tomorrow and really, its no different then sailing in October or March... ZERO ICE - SAND BEACH..... give me a call as home 218-
722-2375..

Chip, you're my hero, I wish I was half the man you obviously are. In fact I can guarantee if I went in that water now I'd be half the man I am right now. How did those math classes go.....half of nothing =..........!

Seriously guys.... how often do you get to say that you've sailed in January?? Isn't it worth giving it a shot? You get on the beach and you don't realize its winter... Water and air temp really aren't much different than any other time you sail here right?? Somebody take me up on this..
