It's looking like another Low is headed our way. Breezes may pick up later in the day.
Fingers crossed.

Mille was crankin. Small board and perfectly powered on the 13M. Just got off the water ( I had to work) but meet Aaron, Emily and Jerry S who were just packing up. The wind was really blowing still but they had been there all day. Great rides as always. Reddy creak has the most consistant winds. I never felt a gust. I just can't get enought. I figured out what I am really addicted to. It's not kiteboarding, it's Wind. When's it gonna blow next?

Glad you scored a session Eric. We had an amazing afternoon down here as well.
There is something about the ritual of heading to Waconia, maybe it is because I have done it so many times for over 15 years now. The drive out through the farmlands and rolling hills watching the trees and the flags, try to guess what kite or sail I'll rig long before I get to the lake. Then pulling in and seeing who's there, checking the water. I pulled in yesterday Denny and Kevin were chatting, kites rigged, thinking they may need to rig down. I rigged my 17.5 Machine, then quickly realized that was too big cause it was coming up. I rigged my 13m and since it seemed like the wind was pulsing up and down, took the SX151 ( the magic carpet ride). I was in heaven. Shimmering waters, great wind, warm temps, perfect.
I came in and got Aaron, Charlie and Leah launched. It sounded like all of them got their first taste of riding on their boards. Sweet. I remember my first 100ft well. It was magic, .....and then yard sale across the water....super stoked.
Scott C, Denny, Jeff G., and Denis put color in the air and looked like they were having fun.
Thanks all who launched my kite, I far too often forget the thank you after the kite is skyward.
A few small things to note. While it is temping to place a kite on the new blacktop boat launch on the north side of the launch and string out your lines. Be careful. You lines can get run over by cars going through the parking lot, and that blacktop is extremely hot on sunny days. You could very easily heat up your LE and blow it. We had a dump valve pop out yesterday after a kite had sat there for 5 minutes.
If you take the Northern route to Waconia, up through Long Lake and down, which I love for the beauty of it. Be careful of your speed. They do ticket in this area.
Again, what a wonderful surprise to have summer wind.

I was windsurfing on calhoun tuesday, two other people were there as well (thanks to the guy who helped me out if he is here, I'm not going to try and spell his name). I rigged up my 7.5 retro and got planing a few times, it felt pretty good for being my first time out this year (and first time ever in-state).
Mille Lacs
Anyone heading up to Mille Lacs on Saturday? Looks like the wind is going to blow
. Is Garrison the best place for a SE wind?

South east is good at either Garrison or reddy. Garrison can actually be alittle better because of less swimmers. It's still really shallow. but not as much trafic (on the water that is). You'll get alot of vacationers gawking. Don't lanch right in town thought. Go about a quarter mile north and pull off right before the harbor inn. That's the best place I've found. If it come straight south thought, go th readdy or Malmo. Reddy has the smothest winds. See you wherever the wind is the best.
