Sounds like I've been missing some greatly needed snow. Very excited to get home to see the kite festival.
Arrived here Jan. 31 to building trade winds. It's been beautiful 5-6.5M wind just about every day....only a couple kona wind days. Yesterday was perhaps the most outstanding day of the trip...with huge building NW swell and 20-25mph winds. At one point Jim Brothen and I hopped on the same wave face (about 15') and put in several down the line turns that will forever be etched in my memory. We sailed to shore, screamed and went out for the next set only to be squashed by the last incoming monster...it all felt sooooo good.
Tighe, I'm now verrrry motivated to get some stuff up for all about the power and glory of Maui... Dan Larson spent a week with us... Bob and Vicki Milbert were out tearing it up with us, so we have Minnesota very well represented out here, but could sure use more of that positive Midwest energy. Anyone wanting to know more about Maui, give me a call next week. Looking forward to my first taste of snow on the lakes this season. See you this weekend.
