What are people bringing to the swap this year?
I was wondering if you guys wouldn't mind giving a little insight to what your bringing to the swap this year. NO prices needed just what your bringin. I am in the market for some new sails and was just curious as to what kind of bounty i will be able to pick up.
I am bringing two boards
- 1998 mistral superlight II
- Oldschool Mistral Competition longboard
-Ben-

I have not had her out of the bag in so long I am unsure of her current conditon.Coach wrote:If I'm going to get your wife at the swap, how long will she last? Has she had any dings and have you made any repairs to her?
What size mast should I use with this wife?
...and if you need a mast, I'll throw in mine, I don't use it anymore.

So... What else are people bringing to the swap this year? And by the way, when/where is it? I've never gone (only my second year in the sport), but it intrigues me.

OPW's
I'd be happy to volunteer to bring any OPW's(other people's wives) to the swap. Any swapping that occurs after that is out of my hands! Which begs the question,"Is it bored housewives, or board housewives?" Ask the closest wind-surf widow! J.N. P.S. Buy my TIGA 288, my Rushwind kiteboard, or my delta winged kite.

I'm not sure if people are reluctant as much as they just don't know yet.
As in swaps past, I will usually rummage through my garage the morning of the swap, load up with everything I want to (or think I can) get rid of, and then scurry off to the swap to see what happens.
Tighe is right - get there early... Like, really early. The best stuff goes from *before* the swap 'officially' starts until about 10 or 11. Some people trickle in with good stuff later on, but the desperate ones with good gear always seem to be there early.
Remember folks, it's a swap. 'Price to sell'. It's better off in someone else's hands than depreciating in your garage for another year.

I just stopped in there today to check the place out. Nice people. Hopefully I'll be able to come to the swap. I really want to be there to, if nothing else, show people what I have and get some opinions.
Here's a question: What happens if it's windy the day of the swap? Will people really prioritize the swap above wind? I hope I'm not jinxing it.
