West works gret! Long fetch and the island has maximum area out of wind for rigging. One of my favorite things do on west is to work WAY upwind (miles) and then do some relaxed downwinders, always looking for the odd drift to hop off of.

I have no info on the old open water or presure ridge that was out there a few weeks ago...anyone? I plan on heading there after 11am or so.

I'm back! Kitesurfed on skis for the first time in a year in the big breeze last Monday and am psyched for more! Funny how a little snow will change one's attitude. The ridges are still big, nasty and dangerous but there is PLENTY of safe space to be had. Just look before you leap, the few hazards on the main lake are easy to see. The Chilli Open will be going on Saturday on Wayzata bay. A group of us have the annual tradition of buzzing the golf course on one type of wind craft or another, come join the fun! A sunset session this afternoon may also be in order.

Rob - good to see you posting here! When are you and the wife going to come out for the Media Series again? We'll be at Welch this Sunday.

Hi coach!

Don't think we'll make it this Sunday, but one of these weeks we will be there. Will we see you today at kite island? Had a great sunset session yesterday. The snow is awesome!
