Yo! Good to see you guys out in my backyard for some CrAzY times!!! I was wondering what happened to ya!
Winds were great using my 5.0 FreeAir, however I called it quits (well...maybe mother nature spanked me too hard) around 4pm as I was cruising the WessSide boosting some airs:
There I was cruising in 17-25mph winds with gusts at 30+. I'd been practicing some spin tricks and life was good. Well, I launched a spinner in about 20mph wind, got up about 10-15ft and then a 30+ gust hit when I was about to reach what I thought was my peak elevation. Yeah, I soared up another 8-10ft, looked down and i couldn't distinguish the contours of the snow anymore
MMM...I'm more of a technical rider both on the slope and with a kite, "big" airs are seldom my schtick. All I could think as I was still rotating and flying through the air is: "This may hurt."

Luckily I slowly plummeted into the powder and stuck the trick heaving the snow around me into the air. Some time later my buddies descended to their natural hanging position - I then called it a day.
Lesson learned: I gotta give all you big-air maniacs props, that's some serious kite handling involved!
Buenos nachos,

Have kite, will travel.
