Waconia Parking update

Post by Dennis Wyszynski »

I stoped by Waconia Friday evening and things look a little different.

The parking lot was not closed but all the asphalt is gone and they are preparing it for a new surface. They have what looks like a surveyors cord about 2 feet high all around the edges. I think it marks where the new curbs will be placed.

The only easy way to get to the water is down the boat ramp on the north end of the parking area.

Since the Waconia parking lot may be a challange tomorrow I was thinking of going to Washington and sailing from the Ellsworth boat landing. It's fairly short road trip and a good location for NW wind. If anyone is interested post an update here or give me a call at 763 545-1009. I will not go unless others are going. It's not a good time of year to be sailing by your self.

Dennis,
I'm considering a drive out to Green. Would you consider adding an hour to your commute? I'm gonna call Jerry S. in a minute to try to finalize plans.

Jeff, I will be out at Green today by 11:00. I have to leave before 4:00 so I am unable to wait for the wind to come to me.
