Wind Power

Post by Eric S »

Here's a link that will get you pumped up. We have a tower here in Elk River. Having wind power doesn't fix many of our problems, but it's a start.

It's funny that the biggest objection to these is that the are "UGLY" They don't want them in their backyard. Last year I had the good fortune to drive in South Dakoata near the MN boarder. I ran across a wind field on the boarder that had more than 50 towers.

The farmers had small gravel roads to each tower. I took one of these roads, looking around for the law because I thought I shouldn't be there, I was able to get right under one of these wind machines.

As my car came to a stop underneath a tower, I turned off the my ingnition. There was a sound. A big sound.

Whooosh....Whoosh....Whoosh....

I thought some fluid was rushing from my car. I got out and looked under my car. The sound was from above. I looked up and saw fantastic blades carving the sky....

Do you want to know more....?
