Bacteria levels down; Duluth beaches reopen
August 12, 2004 BEACH0812
Bacteria levels at several Minnesota beaches have returned to normal, prompting state officials to remove four "water contact not recommended" signs posted this week at the Lester River, French River and Bluebird Landing public beaches in the Duluth area and at Burlington Bay in Two Harbors.
The signs had been posted Monday because of high levels of fecal coliform bacteria. Warnings remain posted at the downtown public beach in Grand Marais, and at the 20th Street/Hearding Island Canal, New Duluth Boat Club/14th Street and Southworth Marsh sites on the bay side of Duluth's Park Point.

Ahh.. Jim you made him nervous! I liked the much more raw and bold topic title. YOu don't need to censor yourself, this is America! And I guess nasty shit pays my bills! My little laboratory pet E. coli is the best buddy a guy could have. He keeps people's urinary tracts burning too and I get to ID the sucker and burn his hide with drugs! Yeehaw! Ahh, swearing and bacteria go hand in hand...just make sure to wash that hand to avoid the fecal to oral transmission.. Nasty.
