A bunch of us converged at Malmo. It was really nice snow conditions but a little side-shorey for my taste near shore. After you got out a bit it was nice. There isn't as much terain as other places but the snow was butter smooth in most places.
There was one part of the day that was most memorable for me. About 6 of us were about 1 mile off shore and the sun came out and we ripped as a group for about 30 mins. We were very tight and we doing great with giving right of way, kite high, kite low. It was awesome.
When I drove back I saw a guy at the Wealthwood boat launch on a blue and whie F-One at about 3:45pm. I wonder if it was Paul R. The wind was comming in the right direction for that launch by the time I got there.
Parking at Reedy Creek is short, only enough for a few vehicles. Carlsona might have been a good call but it was awesome none the less.
I'll head up tomorrow to Cove and partake in the NW. There are also some good looking spots to get to the water if you head up 18 just a little bit from the 18-47 junction. I might do that come to think of it
I'll check back tomorrow morning.

Hey Eric I am heading up tommorow, what about Isatys for launching, I was there a couple of years ago and the wind was great, but it will be anywhere.
Keep us posted on were the best spot will be to launch without driving out on the lake, might have to pull the 9 out of the bag for the second time this winter.

I just talked to Jerry S and we are going to try to check out Izatys at about 10AM. I don't know about the parking and vibe up there durning the winter so we'll take it easy. If that dosen't work out we were thinking of meeting at the public launch at Cove Bay (easy to spot from the road) and staying there or packing up and heading up the east shore some.
I know there are a few places to get at the water for the public but I don't know the names. If you don't see us at Cove or Izatys by noon, head up the east side a bit, we'll keep the kites high so you can see us from the road if possible :-)

That was me on the F-One,
I was further east in the morning with a wind wing. The wind died a little by the afternoon so I took out the F-1. Sorry I missed you guys.
It would have been fun to be in a group. It's such a big lake it's hard to find everyone. It was fun on saturday. Sunday I went out a little in the morning and was just flying. Even tore my kite a little. It was fun, but scarry. The smallest kite I had was a Windwing 550, and it was a little too big, but sure was fun!
