Paul-

Glad you are coming up this weekend. Should be a really good time. Saturday is suppose to blow from the South so we will be somewhere towards the North side. In fact, I would actually recommend being on the opposite side of what it says it will blow from on Mille Lacs. Or in other words the most direct onshore wind you can get. Here is why...If you were somwhere say side-shore and it decided to turn to off-shore, like it did to us the other day, you would be forced to drive and relocate. You can only get so far out onto the lake with a vehicle due to the pressure ridges. Therefore I'm going South Friday and North Saturday. Offshore on Mille Lacs when you are just a ways out is not alot of fun. Take my word for it.
Where is a good place to stay?
You might get the best rate and value for your money, good eats, convienient etc. at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs Hotel. 1-800-HOTEL-17

There are other places in Garrison like Country Inn & Suites # is 320-692-4050.

There is an Econo Lodge just South of the casino that could have reasonable rates. 320-532-3838

Can't wait so see everyone this weekend on Mille Lacs...gonna be PHAT!
