For the first time in 24 years I did not have my yellow helmet ("el Yelmo de Mambrino") on my head.
Somehow I left it at home.
So, I had to sail with just my fisherman's cap, which was always on the verge of blowing off my head.
Three times I got it in the air (grabbing it with my "clue-ended hand" three different times!). That was annoying.
I went back to shore and tied a short rope from top of my head to under my chin. This worked great! My cap stayed on!
T'was windier than I planned for. I was sailing my Exect Warp Formula board and 8.5 Ezzy Cheetah. I went big because I thought the wind
was likely to calm down a bit. This was NOT the case. Wind stayed around 19 mph was bigger gusts. So, I never had a "lull moment!!.
Even though most of the time I had to sail on a reach (with such a big sail) during the few lulls I could "close the gap' and keep planning right though the lulls.
Who else has a story to tell about windsurfing on the fourth of July! Professor Bill S., "did you get on the water?"
Quetzalcoatl out. Oh yeah......"WINDSURFING ON THE RISE, SIEMPRE!!!"
On July 4th, I windsurfed without "head protection!"
