Lake Big Creek, IA is 93% open water today!

This is GREAT news! I see a live web cam image at 15:25 pm (March 11, 2021) of Lake Big Creek, IA (near Polk City) and it's over 90% open.

I Imagine by the weekend it'll be 100% liquid H2O. Clear Lake might opened up too by weekend. I only know that today there are parts of lake that

is liquid. Certainly by weekend of March 20th Clear Lake will be open too.

Remember why we used to fly kites as kids in the month of March? BECAUSE IT'S THE WINDIEST MONTH OF SPRING!!!!!

gET OUT there when you can. Don't wait for a warm day. Windsports are best when you're sailing in a Rain Squall (with no lightning).
