As with so many good Sporting Good stores:

After many years of good "sporting" service...they often dribble down or "morf" into outdoor "clothing stores!"

I've seen this with our local Ski shop in Rochester,,(they sell lawn furnature in the Summer)!

The House is not even called a board shop anymore,,it's title is "The House Outdoor Store" and they sell a lot of clothes!

The biggest Surf shop on South Padre Island mostly sells clothes!

But still "The House" sells good windsurfing equipment. They do their best in finding fairly good deals for their customers.

I don't know how they do it, considering that none of their Sales persons have ever been windsurfing! (Exception: I think they keep JC tucked away in administration some where
in the building). JC is an exceptional sailor. He only comes out to help out the first busiest week of December to mount snowboarding bindings for customers.
I last saw JC like in December of 2010 in the Showroom mounting bindings for customers.

SO yes: some day,,,,we will train the new HOUSE staff in how to windsurf! This way THE HOUSE (formally known as Sailboard Warehouse) will RISE AGAIN!!!!

The House does have at least one employee who still windsurfs. Kylan Johnson is a part time employee when he is not away at college. He wishes they had a little more high wind gear.

Interesting to note: in that photo (in 1st pic.) of Kylan on the that nice RRD board,,,He has a "Deviator" with the U-joint! So, you see...even

great sailors use Deviators!
