Quetzalcoatl discovers a lake.."it is round!"very round!

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

I drove West yesterday in search of wind,,knowing there was good wind out there.

On my way to Worthington, when just six miles short of getting there I took a detour to "Round Lake." The Lake.

And it is very round!!!. I launched from the East side at a public DNR ramp. Wind was from the South blowing steady 22 mph.

This Lake is beautiful!! About 2 miles wide and long and perfectly round. No peninsulas no islands to block wind.

The wind was so steady and southerly,, I felt like I was at S. Padre Island in February! The water was fairly cool
at Round Lake,,,probably due to our cool nights.

Anyway,,,this place rocked With my Ezzy 6.3 Wave Panther sail....I even did one planning Gybe,,(this is when you don't lose
speed during the Gybe).

Anyone else ever been to Round Lake,,near Worthington?

Quetzalcoatl out.
