You want to go to Northwest kitesurfing website. scroll down to Sun July 14th. you should be at the huck fest post! For those of you who haven't been to Hood River (ouch); you are missing some of the most amazing riding conditions and a town where the stoke is all about windsurfing and kitting. Winds in the 20's and 30's almost every day. The river offers different riding terrain along different points of the river. you can find flatter chop then find 6 to 8 ft swells (wow) and then find giant braking waves. There are freestyle riders and tons of wave riders playing on there surf boards! The town is loaded with all sorts of restaurants and bars to hang at in the evening and recap your day. There is a river forecast every morning on the hour telling you what the winds will be like at the different launch sites. Our local lady Laura Mayer put up some very impressive numbers at the Huck fest, check it out.
Jimster I LOVE MY KITES BUT SOMTIMES I WANT TO SEND THEM BACK, HARD!!!!
