An inquiry came in i thought to reach out to you:
"If you were thinking of doing a family houseboat trip to Vaoyageurs national Park this summer - perhaps Rainy lake, or Lake KAbetogoma - Can you give me a few pointers on where to go ? I am thinking that it was probably difficult to find a sheltered place to anchor the houseboat, yet still be able to access the wind and an open stretch of water.
Is it even worthwhile to take a kite there?"

Re: Family travel with kite option
For sure. Big bodies of water but mostly tree lined. Pick up a lake map so you know where the shallow spots are. Ask where the rocks are to avoid surprise beaching of the boat. Not for beginners thou, I recommend you take a few lessons first.
have fun!
