gorge in Nov

Post by john mooney »

got out today windsurfing on my 4.7 very gusty but the air temp hit 60 so it helped buffer the cool water. we have very few west winds in Nov so always book your vacation in july. Still have nice fall colors, the lowest temp Ive seen is 25. Alex took off for China today, doing some design work for wipika, what a jetsetter. I flew over waconia last week looking for all my buds, enjoy the up and coming black ice season, we dont have many winter options like you scandanavians...moondog

good to hear from you. If you're back in town and the wind is blowing give me a call. I've got extra skis, if we found some boots, you're welcome to any kite of mine.

We're on the edge between the seasons. The weather is warmer this week though the water is cold. If we have another week of cold temps the lakes will be solid.

Enjoy the river

Wow, I haven't been out in a month. There has been some wind storms in Portland lately, did you do any of the big Easterlies?

The good news is the snow finally showed up and Timberline and Mt Hood Meadows are opening on Thursday.
