Island time???

Post by wyatt »

Went and kicked the snow around on Calhoun this morning - seems marginally bounded to the ice, but do-able.

Anyone have a Tonka update? I'm thinking Wayzata Bay or Spring Park Bay would be good with a S-SE wind.

Where are they holding the Pond Hockey meet this weekend? Is it Wayzata Bay?

Wayzata bay was OK this afternoon. Enough snow to get around on but it's not bonded to the ice. Nice ice heave around Kite Island. Should make for a nice ramp.

Here you go Hal: http://www.lakawa.com/lakes/lakes.html Take a look at the navigation along the left column and you'll see Kite Island there. (technically Spirit Island)

MINNETONKA has its own Pond Hockey starting this weekend 'til the end of the month. I couldn't find the location on their site, but from the aerial photos, it looks like Excelsior Bay.
