Hey Guys, have been using a site lately called windalert.com . not sure if you guys have heard about it or not. I think it might have a link to ikitesurf but not sure.
Seems to be fairly comprehensive without getting over your head with tech. data.
Just thought I would throw it out there since some of the weather nerds eat this stuff up.
The section that tells you historical data and average wind direction are neat additions for free as opposed to some sites that charge to see that stuff.

You can also set up an account, and have a specific wind range sent to your email when it reaches whatever threshold you set it for. Mines set up for 13 mph so as soon as the wind gets above that, I get an email. Kinda neat!
